Arts & Therapy
The Arts & Therapy program helps children heal and grow through creative expression. Using art, music, and storytelling rooted in Black culture, it creates space for emotional wellness and self-discovery.
Cooking Classes
Cooking classes bring children together to explore healthy foods, family traditions, and cultural pride. Through hands-on learning, they build life skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to heritage—one recipe at a time.
Community Field Trip
Community field trips open doors to new experiences, learning, and connection. Whether visiting cultural landmarks, nature spaces, or local businesses, each trip helps children build confidence, curiosity, and a stronger bond with their community.

Imani Black Children Centre is a space rooted in love, culture, and collective care. We are dedicated to nurturing the well-being, creativity, and confidence of Black children through culturally grounded programs that celebrate identity and inspire growth.
From arts and therapy to cooking classes and community field trips, everything we do is guided by the belief that every Black child deserves to be seen, supported, and empowered. We are more than a community centre—we are a village, growing strong together.
Our Mission
Imani Black Children Centre exists to empower and uplift Black children through culturally grounded, holistic support. Our mission is to nurture their mental, emotional, and creative well-being through programs in arts, therapy, education, and community connection.
We believe in creating spaces where Black children are seen, heard, and celebrated. By centering their voices and experiences, we foster confidence, pride, and resilience. Through every workshop, class, and community event, we aim to build a foundation of love, knowledge, and self-worth that will carry them throughout their lives.

We envision a world where every Black child grows up surrounded by support, culture, and possibility—a world where their brilliance is nurtured and their dreams are limitless.
Imani strives to be a hub of inspiration and healing for generations to come. Our vision is of strong, interconnected communities where Black children are rooted in their identity, empowered to lead, and surrounded by a village that believes in their potential.
